REI Flagship Store | Seattle

REI's iconic Seattle flagship store includes a 65-foot high climbing pinnacle, 250-seat multipurpose room, specialty shops and parking. An extensive study of environmentally appropriate materials was incorporated into the process – long before the existence of any formal sustainable certification – to reflect REI’s values, and because it simply was the right thing to do. This innovative building was honored with eight different awards for design and construction.
