Attract the brightest minds, inspire creative talent and entice game changing innovators—that’s the vision behind Kemper Development Company’s mixed-use magnum opus development in downtown Bellevue. GLY broke ground in the summer of 2014 and delivered nearly three million square feet of construction over the following three years.
The team excavated more than 475,000 cubic yards of earth and installed nearly three million pounds of rebar to prepare the site for a 10-foot-thick foundation. The first mat pour for the south tower in January 2015 was the largest continuous mat pour in Washington State only to be broken a month later by the slightly larger second mat pour for the north tower.
The development includes a 41-level hotel and residential tower, 32-story office tower, three-level podium commons area, and six levels of below-grade parking providing over 1,800 stalls. A skybridge connects the new podium to the neighboring Westin Hotel.
