With 33 years in healthcare and life science facility planning and construction, Jim is a market leader, specializing in aligning the missions and operations of health system providers and biomedical pioneers with their built environments. A principal since 2003, he confidently guides our in-house team of experts to deliver the technically challenging, complex spaces that support this critical work in our community. Some of his notable major building projects include the new 200,000 square foot clinic expansion for Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in South Lake Union, and both new construction and major renovations for Overlake Medical Center & Clinics on the Eastside. Jim is a strong advocate for progressive approaches, and enjoys partnering with multi-disciplinary teams to maximize our clients’ investments in their facilities. He’s served on multiple boards and professional committees focused on continuous education and advancing safety and operational excellence in the construction industry.

Kyle joined the GLY team immediately after earning a BS in Construction Management from the University of Washington in 2006. His honesty and affability have been a mainstay, and he takes a forthright approach to resolving issues and ensuring client satisfaction. After all these years, he still looks forward the unique challenges that come with each individual project and appreciates that no two days are ever alike. While things keep him on his toes at the jobsite, Kyle unwinds by listening to his favorite CDs and records or going to live concerts. Music just sounds better when it’s an experience!
Superintendent
Final: Over the last 30 years, Donovan’s appreciation for quality craftsmanship combined with his natural ability to manage the many moving parts and pieces of a construction jobsite from start to finish has garnered trust and respect from GLY employees, trade partners, and clients. From interior build-outs to full campus developments, he approaches each project by tapping into each team member’s strengths, talents, and skillsets to develop a thoughtful plan—together. Witnessing that plan unfold successfully is his favorite part of his job. On the home front, there is never a dull moment with his four kids, granddaughter, and three dogs—each bringing joy to the family with their own unique personalities. Skylar, the littlest pup, runs the pack.

With 20 years of experience in the construction industry under his belt, Greg appreciates and understands the vital role of Project Engineer [PE]. Today, as PE Operations Manager, he leads the charge in setting Project Engineers up for success—focusing on development, growth, and establishing mentorships. Greg’s ability to recognize and appreciate diversity in personalities and skills among the group helps cultivate a learning environment that leaves plenty of room for exploration and innovation. Outside of work, Greg's go-to pastimes include mountain biking, fly fishing, and cooking for family and friends.
Superintendent
Ever wonder if a Superintendent gets tired of scheduling? Just ask Reed! After more than 37 years in the industry, he still loves solving each new puzzle. A GLY veteran with a deep resume, he’s done it all from high-tech office buildings to heavy site civil work—mentoring up-and-coming field supervisors along the way. Outside the jobsite, he works on his collection of muscle cars and unwinds in the outdoors with fishing and hunting.

Erik uses his extensive engineering background to assist with integrating mechanical systems into new and existing buildings. With many years of designing mechanical systems under his belt, he’s proven to be an invaluable asset to our clients—specializing in complex life science, technology, industrial, and healthcare projects. Erik previously lived in Colorado, where he developed an obsession for mountain biking. Now racing competitively, he and his family own 12 bikes, living the principle that the correct amount of bikes to own is n+1, with n being the amount of bikes they currently own.
Senior Project Engineer
PE
Brad is a licensed Civil Engineer with a BSCE from Gonzaga University, but after a few years working in that discipline in Denver, he returned to the PNW to earn a Construction Management certificate from the University of Washington and joined GLY in 2008. His technical engineering skills continue to serve him well in his role as a Senior Project Engineer. He excels in coordinating structural work and large tenant build-outs for healthcare, residential, hospitality, and office high-rise projects. Brad and his family spend their leisure time exploring the world and tackling daunting athletic challenges.
