As Executive Administrator, she enjoys working with people that encourage her and test her limits but allow her to have fun along the way. She manages her time—and many others’—with extraordinary ease and keeps things running like a well-oiled machine. Outside the office, you’ll find Cassie hiking, exploring the city, and when the sun comes out, boating on Lake Washington—all with her husband and pups by her side.

Troy’s been managing construction projects in the Pacific Northwest since 2000 and is one of our Interiors + Special Projects [ISP] team leaders. He specializes in unique renovation and improvement work in a variety of market sectors and has a long history of successfully delivering public agency projects using Job Order Contracting [JOC]. Troy enjoys collaborating with professionals of various disciplines to get fast-track projects started and completed on time. Outside of work, Troy enjoys lots of family time, good music, trying a new local beer, and cheering on his favorite sports team.

Andrew Ellis

Andrew spent 14 years immersed in his original calling: Architecture. He found that the most enjoyable and rewarding moments occurred while collaborating with builders. Deciding to blend two passions together—design and construction—Andrew now leverages robust VDC tools to better understand, communicate, and help execute a project’s design intent. Simply put, he constructs the building virtually to iron out any wrinkles before it’s built in the field. Outside the office, Andrew can’t get enough of the mountains. The numbers speak for themselves. He’s made his way to the summit of Mount Rainier via 16 different routes!

With over 25 years of experience, Tyler delivers some of GLY’s most complex projects. His background in engineering, a number of certifications, ongoing industry education, and a full spectrum of market sectors on his resume bring a blend of professional knowledge and building capabilities that are ideal for highly technical projects. His approach? A balance of strong leadership and communication.

Sean Royal

Project Engineer

Sean recently joined GLY after completing two internships which gave him firsthand experience on high-stakes projects in the construction industry. With a degree in Construction Engineering Technology, he brings a solid foundation of technical knowledge and hands-on experience to his role as Project Engineer. In this capacity, he handles key responsibilities in trade management, overseeing work scopes, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and supporting project scheduling and budgeting. A Kirkland native, Sean enjoys spending his free time on Lake Washington, hitting the golf course, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

Joaquin Aburto

General Foreman

Joaquin approaches each day on the jobsite with a people-first attitude, emphasizing the importance of a collaborative team culture in finding efficient solutions and creating a learning environment for everyone. One of his favorite aspects of construction is that he leaves each workday having learned something new from his teammates. When he’s not out in the field, you can find Joaquin adventuring in the PNW with his 5 kids.

Steve feels at home with just about everyone. In his view, working with field crews, subs, engineers, architects, clients and “our first-class teams” makes each day unique. His 25+ years with GLY encompasses a wide range of market sectors, from fast-paced, ground-up construction of new office buildings to roadway and utility projects, garage structures, and challenging phased renovation work for educational facilities. He delivers predictable results every time and cultivates a strong team atmosphere focused on quality and superb customer service. Besides loving his job, he’s an inspiring volunteer, mentor, football fan, outdoorsman and family man.
