Bertschi School was honored as a Green Ribbon School by the US Dept. of Education, citing exemplary efforts to reduce environmental impact and utility costs. GLY built Bertschi's gym and art wing, Seattle's first LEED Gold private school. Recently Skanska built the Science Wing, Washington's first certified "Living Building." Both projects incorporated best available sustainability practices of the time. more >

Vulcan Real Estate is in early stages of planning for two towers on the block bounded by Denny Way and John Street and Westlake and Ninth avenues north, which would require relocating the South Lake Union Discovery Center.
